Grasses: Late summer planting

August is often the hottest, driest month when the garden is not looking its best; many English gardens peak in June and July when roses, paeonies, lavender and other perennials are looking magnificent. In the August 2020 edition of OXMagazine I wrote that this was therefore an ideal time of the year to identify any large gaps or sections of the garden that need more interest.
